If you still don’t have plans for this November weekend in Valencia, let our blog inspire you…

The Valencian autumn is still bringing cultural events for all tastes. In addition, this weekend, the city also provides workshops and talks on responsible consumption and environment.

Therefore, so that the students of our Spanish school can participate in the cultural life of Valencia and practice their Spanish outside the classroom, we leave below our suggestions for the next days.

Let’s see them in detail!

Feria de Consumo Responsable

This weekend Valencia celebrates its first Fair of Responsible Consumption.

The Town Hall square will house exhibition stalls in which companies and organizations will promote their services and sell handicraft, ecological, proximity and fair-trade products.

In addition, the public will be able to participate for free in talks, workshops, screenings and other activities that deal with important topics such as healthy food, energy efficiency and sustainable consumption.

Below you will find some:

V Cicle Migrats Dansa

Till November 27
Espacio Inestable and Centre de Cultura Contemporánea el Carmen (CCCC)

Among the most outstanding autumn plans, we find the Cicle Migrats Dansa. A project promoted by Espacio Inestable and the CCCC in order to make visible the work of Valencian artists who develop their artistic projects abroad.

This dance cycle also creates a dialogue between professional emigrants with a long artistic career and young dancers and choreographers, performing in the Valencian scene.

If you like contemporary dance, this Cycle offers you the perfect occasion to enjoy very different danse shows during the next two days.

In fact, from this afternoon until Sunday, at Teatro Inestable, two dance sessions (one on 18-19 Nov, the other on 20 and 21. Tickets from 7 euros) will take place. Each session includes performances from three different companies and artists, each lasting approximately 20 minutes.

And both on Saturday and Sunday, also the Gothic Cloister of the CCCC will become an outdoor stage for dancers, from 12pm to 2 pm.

Brut and Nature 6et

Saturday 20, at 10.15pm
Jymmy Glass Jazz Bar, Calle Baja 28
Ticket: 5 euros with reservation

The most famous jazz bar in Valencia celebrates this month the 10th edition of the OFF Festival 2021 – International Contemporary Jazz Festival.

This Saturday, lovers of this musical genre will enjoy the music of Brut and Nature 6et. A music band, formed by a piano, a trombone, an alto saxophone, a guitar, a double bass and a drum.

The musicians will delight the audience with unusual improvisations and a very original interpretation of pieces by prominent artists such as William Parker and Matana Roberts.

It sounds pretty good to be missed, doesn’t it? 🙂

We hope our post will help you spend a nice November weekend in Valencia.

And as always, we encourage you to continue practicing your Spanish outside the classroom, learning new words and commonly used expressions.

Our Spanish school El Rincón del Tandem in Valencia wishes you a happy weekend.

See you soon!
