After a year without Fallas, the city is going to celebrates its most important celebration again. Today we talk about Las Fallas de Valencia 2021. Our Spanish school El Rincón del Tandem tells you how the great Valencian festival is going to take place 😊

Surely you’ve heard the name of our city’s most famous celebration… Normally, the Fallas are held in March as a welcome of spring, but, due to the crisis of the Covid19, this 2021, will be celebrated in September.

In fact, the sculptures that have been stored since March 2020, will finally be installed in th streets and squares so that the whole city will be able to appreciate their beauty.

Therefore, let’s take a look at the official program of these Fallas 2021 (1-5 September) so that our students of the Spanish course can enjoy the “Valencia fallera” with its lights, flowers, music and food.

Exhibition of the Ninot

Until September 1
(Monday-Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm and Friday-Sunday from 10 am to 9 pm)
At the Base de la Marina
Entrance fee: 3 €

Tuesday, August 31: Beginning of the festivities

Start of activity: Tents, markets, food stalls and buñuelos stalls
Throughout the city you will enjoy food and typical products, buy crafts on the street and listen to live music. In addition, you can already contemplate the festival of lights in the streets of Ruzafa and take a look at the first Fallas.

Wednesday, September 1

The Fallas infantiles will be installed in the city, starting from 8.00 in the morning. The mascletàs and fireworks shows will take place at 2 pm in different places of the city. In the evening there will be fireworks.

Thursday, 2nd of September

All Fallas will be installed. You can start your tour of the Fallas from the Town Hall Square, where there will be 6 Fallas. There will be a Mascletà at 2 pm and at 5.30 pm. This day the prize for the best Falla infantil will be awarded in the Town Hall Square.

Friday, September 3 and Saturday, September 4

Mascletà at 2 pm in different places of the city. In addition, there will be a parade of falleras y falleros in the streets of Valencia.

Sunday, September 5

On this last day of Fallas, as according to tradition, the sculptures will be burned at night (Cremà), from 8 pm to 11 pm.
