This year Las Fallas celebrate its 3rd edition as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Here below find some unmissable appointments of this rich programme 😉

THURSDAY, 14th

Closing ceremony of the Ninot infantil exhibition

The popular verdict will be red and the Ninot indultat infantil will be proclaimed. Also the best ninots infantiles will be selected for each category. All of them will be part of the collection of the Museo Fallero.

5.00 p.m. Salón Arquerías, Ciudad del Arte y de las Ciencias

FRIDAY, 15th

Plantà of fallas infantiles

During the “plantà” the fallas artists together with the fallas commission members will assemble the fallas infantiles.
9.00 a.m. All the neighbourhoods

Plantà of fallas

All the big Fallas will be assembled and placed in the participating neighborhoods.

SUNDAY, 17th and MONDAY, 18th

Offering to the Virgin of Defenseless

Through this act, all the Fallas commissions pay homage to a big statue of the Virgin, by offering flowers. All the Fallas participants will file wearing traditional clothing and will gather at the Plaza de la Virgen, where the offering will take place.

TUESDAY, 19th

Flower Offering to Saint Joseph

The Falleras Mayores and their Cortes de Honor will be responsible of the flower offering to Saint Joseph, the Fallas’ Patron Saint.

11.00 a.m. Puente de San José

The Fire Parade

This act announces the Cremà, by a suggestive parade with masks, costumes, music, firecrackers and floats. The fire is the main element of the event to remind us the upcoming fallas’ end.

7.00 p.m. From Calle Ruzafa to Puerta de la Mar square

Cremà of fallas infantiles

The Cremà is the final act during which all fallas, the wooden and paper statues, are set on fire. The act starts with burning the fallas infantiles and later and continues with setting fire to the big ones.

10.00 p.m. All the Fallas neighborhoods

Finally, we remind you that this year the City Hall falls “Creative process” is the result of collaboration between the Fallas artists Latorre/Sanz and the Valencian Street-artists Pichiavo.
