As every week, here are our suggestions for the weekend in Valencia. If you are looking for plans to make the most of the next few days, let yourself be inspired by the blog of our Spanish school, El Rincón del Tándem 🙂

The weekend is approaching and it is time to enjoy some free time and a well-deserved rest. Therefore, we leave to all our students of the Spanish course some suggestions for the weekend in Valencia.

Below you will find our small selection of plans, where you will find a bit of everything: music, books and a flea market.
Do you want to know more? Well, let’s get started!

VierneX: Xixa Morá

Friday 17 at 10.30pm
Radio City, Calle de Santa Teresa 19
Ticket: 6-8 euros

This time our weekend kicks off with a lively night of music in one of the most emblematic places in the Carmen neighbourhood.

In fact, this Friday, the Radio City will be filled with Latin rhythms thanks to Xixa Morá. A musical group created in 2019 composed by musicians from Chile and Ireland.
Their very personal style of psychedelic cumbia is born from the fusion between traditional cumbia and other genres such as Funky.

In today’s concert, Xixa Morá will play a repertoire that comprise classic cumbia songs and original songs of the band.
Sounds great, doesn’t it?

IV Baba Kamo

One of the most eagerly awaited events for book and illustration lovers has arrived.

Baba Kamo is the Festival and fair of illustrated books in Valencia. An event that promotes the work of national and international authors and the exchange of experiences between professionals.

As in previous editions, Baba Kamo includes different events and activities:

A trade fair with exhibition spaces for publishers, bookshops and self-publishers, in the Gothic Cloister of the CCCC, an exhibition of works by illustration professionals and various training activities.

So, if you are also a professional or amateur illustrator, or if you simply love books, you can’t miss this event!

It will be a fantastic opportunity to discover everything about illustrated books and, why not, find a beautiful book to give as a Christmas present 😊.

We hope that our suggestions for the weekend in Valencia will help you to enjoy your free time in the capital of the Turia.

From our school, El Rincón del Tándem, we wish you a weekend of rest and culture.
And as always, we encourage you to get to know Valencia better, practising Spanish outside the classroom.

Hasta el lunes!
