If you still don’t have plans for the next two days, we invite you to take a look at our suggestions for the weekend in Valencia. Our Spanish school, El Rincón del Tándem, has chosen different events and for all tastes. Find out more! 🙂

The time has come for the students of our Spanish school to take a break from studying and enjoy their free time.

To recover energy for the next week of Spanish classes, El Rincón del Tandem gives you some suggestions for the weekend in Valencia.
In today’s post you will find useful information to enjoy the cultural life of the city.

Let’s see it in detail!

Francis Bacon – Lucian Freud. De profundis

Until September 5. From Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm
Fundación Bancaja, Plaza Tetuán 23
Ticket: 5 euros

This exhibition focuses on the dialogue between the works of two fundamental artists and representatives of the artistic scene of the 20th century.

This exhibition takes us to appreciate a few hundred works of both artists, accompanied by projections and photographic reproductions.

We will be able to appreciate Freud’ small engravings and Bacon’s works of larger size made with different techniques (offset, aquatint and lithography).

Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud were united by a relationship of friendship and professional admiration. Both lived through the stormy times of the Second World War and both expressed, in a different way, the impact of those difficult years.

Although using different techniques and styles, both artists express feelings such as loneliness, isolation and anguish.

Therefore, do not miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the worlds of these two great artists.

Las nocturnas de verano

Until September 4. Thursdays (8 pm), Saturdays (9 pm)
Hemisféric, Av. Del Profesor López Piñero 3

The Hemispheric of Valencia invites us to embark on a journey between planets, stars and nebulae and to know the constellations of the summer sky thanks to the guidance of a planetarist.

These live planetarium sessions offer us the opportunity to travel in space while sitting comfortably in our seat.

If you want to embark on this journey to the universe, you can find more information about ticket sale here.

Enjoy this exciting journey among the stars!
