Filmoteca d’estiu

This new edition of the Filmoteca d’estiu is starting this weekend. A must for lovers of classic and contemporary international cinema.

As every year, La Filmoteca brings its programming outdoors so that the public can enjoy the movies and the fresh air in the gardens of Palau de la Música.

The film proposal for this edition, is structured in three cycles:

Berlanga y la comedia. Cycle tribute to the great Valencian filmmaker, on the occasion of the Year of Berlanga.
Aniversarios cinéfilos. Cycle that celebrates the anniversary of essential films in the history of cinema such as The Kid by Charlin Chaplin or The Two-Lane Blacktop by Hellman.
Cosechas de premios 2021. Cycle dedicated to films that have been awarded in the most important film competitions.

This weekend, the programs foresee:

Welcome, Mister Marshall (Luís García Berlanga). Saturday 31 at 10.30 p.m.
Las chicas (Pilar Romero). Sunday 1 at 10.30 p.m.

CCCCinema d’Estiu. Ciclo Comedia Europea

The CCCC is one of the cultural spaces with most history and charm of Valencia. In addition to exhibitions, it hosts varied and high-quality cultural events, such as this film cycle.

In fact, this August, the Gothic Cloister of the CCCC will become an open-air cinema where the public will enjoy a cycle of European comedies.

This series gives us the opportunity to discover a selection of comedies inspired by the question: What are we laughing for in Europe? To this question we will find answers in films that will speak with irony of the great dilemmas of life and human weaknesses.

There will be a wide range of high-quality films on the screen, which will ge us know movies from several European countries such as Slovakia, France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Denmark, England, etc.

Summer cinema at Teatro Flumen terrace

The summer cinema at the terrace of the Flumen Theatre is another regular event for lovers of outdoor movies.

This year, the program offers contemporary and premiere films for all tastes. In addition, on Wednesdays and Sundays, the audience can buy the promo sandwich+ movies+ drinks for 10 euros.

This Saturday 31 and Sunday 1 August, at 10.15 p.m., will screen the thriller “Old” by M. Night Shyamalan.
