Are you thinking about going on holidays in October? Valencia is the right answer so give it a go!

You’re not ready to start the monotony of the life yet and you want to lengthen your days at the beach? You had to work during the summer and your boss only gave you days off in October? Whichever reason makes you not want to say goodbye to the summer days, Valencia is the right place to go and you won’t be disappointed.
There is a wide array of reasons why Valencia is a great destination for last minute holidays in October.
The high temperatures in the city let people still enjoy the days in the seaside as if it was summer. Moreover, the sunset comes later compared to other European cities, which makes the light persist until the evening. All of these summer elements coupled with the beautiful and easy-accessible beaches in Valencia, makes it a unique place in October.

The beaches:

The Cabanyal and the Malvarrosa beaches are the closest to the city center located in the “Las Arenas” walking seaside. If you want to easily reach the beach and even go for a couple of hours, come here. The former is at only 5 km from the Town Hall Square where there are many local buses to take. This beach is well-known for its amazing size. It’s 135 meters wide and 1,200 meters long, for this reason you won’t feel surrounded by too many people. The beach also offers the service of umbrella and tanning bed. If you’re hungry, just in front of it there is a wide selection of restaurants with terrace to enjoy the astonishing view while eating.

Heading North from Las Arenas, you will find “la Playa de la Malvarrosa”. This beach is perfect for doing sport! There are volleyball and soccer fields, ropes and slides for children and free courses of zumba and yoga! Alternatively, you can always have a run on the shore, or skating or biking along the promenade. With the perfect temperatures of October you will enjoy it to the fullest without the hot climate of the summer.

In contrast, if you want to spend a whole day outside the city, enjoying the nature there are different options. You can continue heading North from la Malvarrosa and reach la Patacona, an over 1 km long beach. The particular characteristics here are the old houses converted into vintage restaurants with indoor and outdoor terraces. Another option would be going to the South of Valencia, almost to the boundary, to the “Devesa de la Albufera”. The beauty of these beaches called El Saler and La Garrofera consists in its wild traits. Its 10 km of fauna, vegetation and numerous dunes, makes it an adventurous itinerary for nature lovers.
